On Sunday nights, we are doing a study on selected Psalms.  Below are the Psalms we decided to study:

February 10, 2019   "The Omni Psalm"
Psalms 139 is a psalm written by God that tells us about the nature of God. In this psalm, he discusses the attributes of God, His Omniscience, Omnipresence, and His Omnipotence.  It is for this reason this psalm is known as the omni Psalm.

.
February 3, 2019   "Is it Really Worth It All?"
Psalms 73 deals with the old question, "Why do the righteous suffer, and the wicked prosper?" This Psalm was written by Asaph who was a musician, choir leader, song writer, and a preacher who is struggling with the question, "Is it really worth it all in being faithful to God? " At the end of the Psalm, he finds his answer by saying his hope is in His God.

January 27, 2019   "When God Does Not Answer Our Prayers"
These two Psalms(Chapters 42 & 43) were probably originally one psalm.  They speak of troubles of this life, and the Psalmist wrestles with the thought, "Where is my God during these troubling times?" Psalmist concludes these Psalms stating that his situation may be hopeless but not without hope because of his trust in his God.

January 6, 2019   "Having a Blessed New Year!"
This is second part of our study of Psalms 115.  In this study, we focus on the word "Blessed." We explain what the word "Blessed" means in the context of this Psalm.
December 30, 2018   "Remember Me!"
Psalms 115 is a Psalm written by the Jewish people rejoicing in God that they have been set free to return to Jerusalem from the Babylonian Captivity.  We focus on. We focus on v.12 of this text where we learn that God stops thinking about us. He loves us and has a distinct plan in store for us as his children.
December 16, 2018   "Following David's Pattern"
Psalms 56 is a psalm written by David has he expresses his trust in God when he is afraid for his life, We discuss the pattern of David as he faces anxiety in his life. We look at the problem, his prayer life, and his praise to his heavenly Father.
December 2, 2018   "The Hand Prints of God"
Psalms 137  starts the psalm with weeping and sorrow as the Jewish people are sadden as they are in Babylonian Captivity remembering Jerusalem their home land. On the other hand,  Psalm 138 speaks of praise and thanksgiving. One psalm speaks of hope, and the other psalm of no hope
November 25, 2018   "The Doxology of David"
Psalms 18 is a psalm of victory and triumph over David's enemies. The Key word in this psalm is the word "deliver" for you will find it five times in our text
this is a psalm that David wrote to give thanksgiving to his God for His mercies to Israel, and praise from David's lips for deliverance from his enemies.
I trust these  messages will enhance your understanding of God's word, and may you may grow in grace as the Holy Spirit enriches you with His truths.
